Have you read any Kristen Cashore (The Graceling series) I love her and can't wait for her next book, Jane, Unlimited. I have more on my list but you've mentioned most of them too! So glad for this book-filled fall :)

I don't have any recommendations but thank you for posting this - you've given me so many books to add to my list!

Definitely going to check into some of these! I've read a lot of good stuff this year. I just finished The Nest, which grew on me by the end after I was certain I didn't feel any sympathy for any of the characters. I thought it was an amazing novel for a debut novelist. I really liked The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon (YA). I read Glaciers by Alexis M. Smith last summer (and preferred it to her other book.) I'm currently reading the new Jan Karon book called To Be Where You Are, through the First to Read program. I don't always love unabashedly small town folksy stuff (maybe because I live in a small town?), but I long ago adopted the characters of Karon's series as my own. I've always loved series of books -- the Little House on the Prairie books, Nancy Drew, Bobbsey Twins, Madeleine L'Engle's books, the Harry Potter series, Sue Grafton's mysteries, Alexander McCall Smith's series set in Scotland -- and this one is on the list of series-I-always-read.

Dear Fahrenheit 451 sounds wonderful. I loved teaching that book!

Thank you for this list!! I am going to add quite a few of them to my to-read list.
