An alternate name for daffodils is Lent Lilies, and I always think of that when I see them blooming during the days of Lent.

Happy Birthday, William! Maybe I should go back and re-read him since I never liked him as a child.


I love Wordsworth and that is my absolute favorite poem of his. I wish I'd read your post on his birthday so I could've celebrated on that day!


Have you ever been to the Lake District in England? I had a wonderful time there with my college Wheaton-in-England program. You are making me pine for those old college days again.
