That is what keeps me going too. And the hope that it will be one of those dream runs, even if just for a moment, where you feel like you are flying. Heaven.

I agree so much with you that running is as good for your mind as it is for your body. It just helps you work out all those mental kinks.

I know I'm not a runner because I'm always making deals with myself about when I can stop (at the next tree...at the stop sign...after I count to 50). My husband told me he never thinks about stopping. If he's tired, he just thinks about something else. I was stunned and it was then that I realized that, mentally, we are two very different creatures.

You confirmed that. I hope you feel better soon.

I admire your determination to attempt a hard run - I find I use any excuse not to run.

On a different note, I read to my son's 2nd grade class today. I selected the book "Not A Box" which I feared was young for them, but I love it. They enjoyed it so much they asked me to read it again. Are you familiar with this book? If not you should check it out.

I also read "Wild About Books" which I bought based on your recommendation. They really enjoyed that as well, lots of giggles.

I totally get the hard run thing. My husband easily (usually) does 14-20 miles on Fridays & some shorter runs during the week> I am lucky if I can plunk out 2.

I use (evening) Singulair with (morning) 2 Claritin and Flonase when my allergies are really bad. ... and an inhaler for asthma when the allergies get really bad.
