Oh, that is so sweet. I bet that just made your day! FYI I have a present for you... I bet you can't guess what it is?!

I am so sorry about Nathan's arm. I was shocked when you told me. Give him a hug for me and tell him I can sympathize. Broken arms are the worst. And I broke my right arm in the 4th grade as well. Maybe he is carrying on my tradition. :)

When the boys came over for scouts that night they told us that he probably had broken his arm, I'm so sorry, I'm sure he is miserable as well as you. And yes why is it that all these types of things happen on weekends and after hours!

Your description of the events was a little TOO well written. I almost couldn't get past the "snap" part. Shudder! I wish you a long hiatus from late night ER visits. Or any ER visits. Happy freakin' birthday.

I've been waiting to hear what the results were of the trip to the hospital. so sorry. glad it's not the elbow though. We know from experience that sometimes those broken elbows don't heal easily. (we've had 3 at our house) Jacob's been worried about Nathan.

I hope you still get your birthday dinner......

my suggestion for future birthdays - bubble wrapping your children!

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't as bad as you thought - - I hope his pain doesn't last too long, and he heals quickly!

Oh my goodness...hope he heals fast and happy belated birthday to you.

Wishes to Nathan for speedy healing and (late) to you for your birthday. I envied you for the lovely things your family did with the banner, cake and surprise (I have to engineer my birthday or do without!).

A belated Happy Birthday to you! I have been neglecting my blog reading for a few weeks and was shocked when I logged onto yours and found you had made bold changes. Now I am dreading reading back to show how long it has been since I popped by.

Thankfully, I'm pretty sure that I will still feel welcome here, despite my temporary absence. It is like having an old friend where you drop in and pick up just like no time has elapsed at all.

Last night, I was catching up on Lucy's blog and called my husband over to see the photos of Lucy's new house. He fails to understand how I can come to feel like all of you are good friends since I only know you virtually. But through reading about your lives I have come to feel that we truly are kindred spirits, despite lack of a real meeting or differences in region or religion.

So thankful for your friendship and the chance to know you through your blog.
