Becky K

I have thought about this post since you posted it yesterday. Although we relish the thought of the spirit moving on to somewhere else, there is no changing or beautifying the body that is left behind, becoming cold and hard and lifeless. I hate to think of him this way, but it is the reality of the thing.

I loved our chat yesterday as well. And I stuck to our deal - wahoo!!

I recently found your blog through the Big Idea Festival and with a heavy heart for you, I've read the recent posts about the loss of your dad. It is wonderful that you are able to express so feeling so eloquently. My dad has been battling a very aggresive cancer for a long time - it is only by God's grace that he is still here. But then last night he phoned to say that he is discontinuing his treatment... I am sure I will eventually journal about it, in a private "diary", not a scrapbook page. For now, my mind is going in so many directions and thought processes, I'm not ready to put pen to paper. I hope that you continue to be able to express yourself - I know it will help you through your grieving.

What beautiful thoughts you have!!
