You are awesome.

i, for one, think you're awesome!!! congratulations! :) :)

You got to the end without dropping dead, therefore you are more awesome than the founder of the marathon ;)

There was this moment right after I came to see you after you crossed the finish line when your face was Dad's. It was just a flicker, but it made me think of him. Now after your story, I'm pretty sure he was there with you. Lucky. :)

Congrats! You are a marathoner. Awesome. Love you!!

That always reminds me of a story I heard about a movie where a runner gasps out a message in Swahili and then collapses. They got somebody who spoke Swahili to give them a phrase for him to say, but didn't check it. Then when the movie was shown in places where the audiences actually spoke Swahili, it turned out that what he was saying was "I do not think I am getting paid enough money for this part."

Just beautiful, well done both for finishing and for the writing about it. I ran 5k for the first time in my life in April. I simply can't imagine what it takes to run a marathon.

Hurray!!! I'm so happy for you! And I love the picture of you smiling as you run the last stretch. It must feel so amazing to have achieved your goal after working so hard to do it. You're awesome. :)

This is a fantastic post, I actually got all teary at the end. Congrats on such a tremendous feat!

I've been checking every day since Saturday for this post but didnt' have time to read until today.
tear just dripped down my nose...
That was beautiful. You made me feel it, see it. sorta... as only a nonrunner can feel and see a run. ( I'll have to have Rachel read it.) Love the pink too!

I am very impressed! And I just want you to know that I cheer for every runner - or shake a cow bell at them if my voice runs out! Good job - you ran a marathon!!!!!

Congratulations Amy!!! I know that you feel fantastic meeting your goal and thank you for sharing it with us.

Yeah, the first poster was right. You are awesome. And that smile in the picture is a glowing, brilliant smile. You looked that good after running 25 miles? You are DOUBLY awesome!

So proud of you. Jay was really curious about how you liked this marathon because he thought running across that causeway sounded like torture. But, you seemed to have a wonderful ability to compartmentalize the distance.

You look great. You did it! Fantastic.
