"...I am learning anew
to release all I cannot hold..."
I love that! Especially since my baby just turned 18 and by this time next year will probably be on his mission.
I would enjoy having you share more poetry on your blog.

We care, and I especially like today's poem. I'm going to share it with a friend who's recently had a big loss. Thank you.

This is the poem that made me fall in love with poetry: http://www.thomasgray.org/cgi-bin/display.cgi?text=odfc

Something crossed my mind the other day that made me think of the compass imagery from "A Valediction Forbidding Mourning." That made me think of how, while poetry isn't usually something that I seek out on my own, I did really enjoy some of the poems that we discussed in my classes at BYU. I guess I'm not so good at finding the things in poems on my own.

Amy, I love this! Thanks for sharing it. I'm going to print it & read it over and over today. I hope you share more.
