I know just what you mean about the Discouraged Dinnerland - and how easy it is to be transported there by the less-than-enthusiastic comments of family. We've moved away from meat consumption over the last 12 months; we still eat fish, but otherwise are vegetarian. That's made cooking a challenge even when in a slump!

Sounds like it's time for the kids to learn to cook. Making dinner yourself a few times somehow tamps down the impulse to be picky! Glad you found something they like.
