What a beautiful and thought provoking post!

I wish I could have been there for your lesson. So often my focus these days is on what Christ has done for me and giving him my burdens. Your post has shown me a different and wonderful perspective. Thank you.

Thanks for this post, Amy. Like you, I find that I too often make my kids' rebellion (or poor choices) about the reflection it casts upon me instead of seeing them and approaching them with compassion and a desire to help carry their burden. It is so helpful to think that question of "What can I do for Christ?" even down to the little details of life ... the things that seem inconsequential, but in reality are far more important than we will ever realize. Once again, you've given me something to chew on for a while and inspired me to try to do it better.

I'm not sure how I missed this post until now! I absolutely enjoyed your lesson, and I enjoyed reading your post-lesson musings. I will be thinking about this a little more.

I'm glad you received positive feedback, too. You really did well, and brought out some nice points.

Thank you! This post was just what I needed to hear. I'm sure your lesson was great and wish I could have been there.

Beautiful post. Thank you. I got a lot out of this. I do think you're being a little too hard on yourself. You're human. First and foremost, before being someone's mom and wife, friend, daughter, etc... But I am taking your lesson to heart. You opened my eyes. Thank you for that. Michelle t
